The autumn leaves are falling like rain. Although my neighbors are all barbarians and you, you are a thousand miles away, there are always two cups at my table.

T’ang Dynasty poem

Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

A scene from long ago...

Me: "How often should I practice?"
My Tai Chi teacher: "Every day."
Me: "Whoa-a! I dunno ... that's a lot ... I'm pretty busy ... I mean ..."
My Tai Chi teacher: "You breathe every day, don't you? Same thing."
Me: "Oh."

I should have said, "Oh, okay!" Little did I know then that "Every day!" would become an actual force in my life.

"Strong...clear...calm...", eh? Beats the alternative! Sounds like things are going well for you.
