Here at the frontier, the leaves fall like rain. Although my neighbors are all barbarians, and you, you are a thousand miles away, there are still two cups at my table.

Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

It looks mre like Judo that Jiu Jitsu, as such. However, if the date is right then the two terms were still being used interchangeably. At that point Judo was seen as a school of Jiu Jitsu (or Ju Jutsu) and was slowly absorbing most of the existing schools. The groundwork here implies this was after it had absorbed Fusen Ryu, the school that had defeated the Kodokan fighters in a tournament, leading to Kano bringing groundwork into Judo. Fusen Ryu that continued apart from Judo don't seem to have maintained the focus on groundwork.

I love these old videos of when the pieces of modern budo were coming together.
