Here at the frontier, the leaves fall like rain. Although my neighbors are all barbarians, and you, you are a thousand miles away, there are still two cups at my table.

Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

Merry Christmas

First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Next, I'd like to thank and congratulate everyone who participated in the Inaugural Advent Challenge.

Finally, I'd like to entertain you with Bruce Springsteen and the Coolest Man on Earth, the late Clarence Clemmons, with Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

And a Merry Christmas to you folks at The Kitchen!

Your Advent Challenge proved very useful. I was coming off of a cluster of appointments and obligations and road trips at the end of November, and had found my various practicii to be sloggish and scattered. Your Challenge helped me to re-focus, and I carried through and "strengthened" what I'm doing. So thanks for that!

I still have no inclination to take a cold shower, but then, I'm just a beginner.

Merry Christmas to the host and all guests, just back from holidays. As far as the Challenge is concerned, I must confess I've a bit of an advantage. I take a shower everyday - no matter how busy I'm...:):)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Paul. One of the participants on a forum I frequent recently completed a personal 1000 day challenge! I'm an amoeba.

I'm planning on keeping thus up right through the Lenten Challenge.
