Here at the frontier, the leaves fall like rain. Although my neighbors are all barbarians, and you, you are a thousand miles away, there are still two cups at my table.

Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

Grandmaster Ip Man Video

This video was shot while Ip Man was in advanced stages of cancer. He wanted to leave a record of his teaching.

I was told by various WC practitioners and saw others say on record, that this video is very problematic. Apparently, it was taken some 2.5 weeks before Ip's death. He was not well by any means, and not performing to standard. It is my understanding that this was supposed to be a reference video for students, but has since become a 'holy grail' for many who mistakenly consider his movements in that video to be 'proper form' =\ Still very interesting to watch :-)

I think it is awesome that just before he succumbed to cancer, that he got up and did this. What a testament to how much he loved his art.

Yes, it's great he did this for his students. It is very unfortunate that so many masters leave nothing behind but memories...

The viability of the art depends greatly on the education of the master and the students.

CTH's BGZ did not get documented until the next generation.
They enhanced the flavor of the BGZ w/ more variations from the Eight Basic Palms and Eight Macro Palms.

To this day, I am not sure if the 64 Palms came from CTH or his students.
