Sun LuTang was never 'alone' with his ideas...he had a prior history ...to interpret...he was also knowledgeable in the TCM..as practiced in his life time...and importantly..he was also part of a think tank group of the Nanking Martial Institute which included Wang XiangZhai [Yi quan] and Wu Yihui [LiuHe BaFa] and other members of the taichi- staff. Much of this went into further development of existing MA's and how to re-render them to improve them. Some of the pictures and text would be correct for an 'other' xing-yi,.. but not for Msr Sun's method. I have previously commented on some of these aspects...and having a student of Msr sun as a teacher has helped show where Sun's methods differ and where Wang XiangZhai's methods step toward a more natural foundation for all IMA.
kconorfoxxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01124905234357355471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13961468.post-69413429050486871682017-06-11T03:01:04.372-04:002017-06-11T03:01:04.372-04:00I really wonder who of the 2 authors has enough un...I really wonder who of the 2 authors has enough understanding of written half classical Chinese to say anything of SLT's writings!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13961468.post-9276278346732938022016-05-19T08:06:59.749-04:002016-05-19T08:06:59.749-04:00If i loved something that had religious connotatio...If i loved something that had religious connotation and knew there was to be sway in thr public view; that threatened it's exsistance I'd to defended it in a similar manor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13961468.post-57522628609080580002015-01-24T10:04:05.639-05:002015-01-24T10:04:05.639-05:00the mechanics of breath are incorrectly described

He died in 1977 with his grief as his "case" was only revoked by the Party in 1980.

He had not been particularly well-known in his understanding of the internal martial arts, and he didn't seem to be particularly famous among practitioners. In this book, Zhang offered a materialistic/dialectic (according to himself) interpretation of internal martial arts (such interpretations were quite common during his period, some wrote on subjects on chi-kung, meditation etc. With the objective to "clear away" superstitious thinking in "New China"). And it is therefore as good as it is "materialistic". It certainly enriches "the interpretive market" of the internal martial arts.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15867403006412320812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13961468.post-29557293117077174432013-05-21T08:46:20.685-04:002013-05-21T08:46:20.685-04:00In the introduction, it says that the book was rea...In the introduction, it says that the book was really more of a pamphlet.
